MONFRAGÜE

Monfragüe is about to become a National Park. In its 17.852 hectares , it shelters the most emblematic animal species in our fauna such as the golden eagle, the black vulture or the black stork all of which are in serious danger of extinction. Similarly there are some other more common species and a vast range of different cork oak forests, Mediterranean bushes and forests which make up a unique landscape with a natural wealth which makes of Monfragüe the so called lung of Europe
